CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL for everyone's effort his year. This club is nothing without everyone's efforts both on and off the pitch. Two other special CONGRATULATIONS and APPRECIATIONS go out to Liam Brown & Jon Howard!! The pair, after establishing this club two years ago can graduate with recognised awards for their "outstanding efforts and achievements" with the rightfully deserved awards for administrators of the year.

As you know, the Loft Lounge & Bar has been confirmed as our sponsor for the 2007/08 season. We are expecting £650+ in sponsorship money, a £200 end of Season shindig at the end of the year next year, and a Lacrosse-Loft discount card which will allow you to get discount on all food and drink in the loft throughout the week. We are negotiating a range of drinks similar to what we had at the Sanctuary with £2.00 pints, A similar drink to our beloved “F**k-me-up”, A cheap spirit, cheap orange juice etc. and reduced Alco pops such as Smirnoff Ice. We will have exclusive use of the upstairs area every Wednesday night from 8pm onwards, We can have our own choice of music, although the stuff they play is generally top draw, and the Train station is just 2 minutes away which is fantastic for players/fresher’s etc. coming over from Brighton.

MEN’S/WOMEN’S/MIXED!! You probably already know that we are entering again in to the Eastern Mixed League once again for this forth coming season. I’m sure we are all agreed that if we build on what we have achieved this season, we can push to be top of the league next year with the mixed squad. The mixed team is the heart of this Lacrosse Club and next year promises to be bigger and better with titles/trophies to be won!!

We have entered the Men’s team in to the EAST 2 division of the SEMLA (South of England Men’s Lacrosse Association) leagues. With the Men’s equipment we received from Centurions Lacrosse Club, and judging by the enthusiasm and passion for the game after Saturday especially, we should have an awesome season starting in September. The Men’s game is a fantastic spectacle if you have never seen/played it before, and with this natural progression with the club, it surely will benefit the mixed squad (through experience alone) no end! Games will be played Saturdays as mentioned, with a break over the Christmas Holidays. We expect all guys to see www.southlacrosse.org.uk to get an understanding of the teams etc. we’ll be up against. BRING IT ON!!

Besides the above, we will be seeking to attain the Women’s squad as much competitive action as possible this season. We have the talent for it, and the equipment to go ahead with the discipline, so we are in the process of finding out about the league systems to potentially enter in to. If we do not enter in to a league with a Women’s Squad, we will seek as many tournaments and teams to play, ensuring that we have a fair balance with the club. We are deciding on equipment and team kit shortly. We will be ordering Men’s complete Jerseys and Shorts which we are working on now. These will be primarily purple, with White as the secondary color. Once we have the figures and design decided, we will come back to you with pricing options etc. We will be ordering girls playing skirts, and Brand New Mixed Polo-shirts for the forthcoming Season.
